This
is a new service we are offering to the Springfield /
Eugene Oregon
community. Although I (Dave) am
new to the DJ scene, I've been
involved in production,
entertainment, announcing and other DJ like experiences
through my whole life. We have been
doing a DJ service with
our hosted Laser Tag events for
the past year or so and I've discovered, I LOVE
being a DJ
- so I am now offering this service by
itself. I spent several years
living in the Dallas
metroplex (DFW) and was exposed
to some great DJs back
there. I've
noticed that many of the DJs that have done events
I've
been to in this area just sit behind their computers and play music - you
might as well have a jukebox or just a PC playing songs on
a PA
system! I want to offer the kind of
service that I saw back in DFW -
were the DJ is a part of
the crowd, enhancing the mood and
feel.
What you get with our
service:- 2000 watts
of sound - Our
system is powerful enough to provide sound for a football field
sized event (yes we have done this with our lazer tag
events).
While we rarely have to even
use half of our volume range - we have a full
volume
sound.
- The LIGHT SHOW! The more time you give us to
set up - the more awesome our setup is.
Unlike some DJs that
set up one or two party lights and
call it good - we come with multiple lasers,
flood fill
mood lights, flashy disco lights, color strips for mood lighting an
entire room, lamp bulb replacements that turn your house
lights into a
Red/Green/Blue controllable mood light
system. If given enough
time, we can
event sync everything into our computer to put on fantastic
coordinated light shows to go with the
music. We
also have a
storage area full of various props and set pieces if you want to do
a themed holiday party.
- Huge Selection of
Music: Our
library of music has now surpassed
50 gigabytes of music and is growing on a
weekly (if not
daily ) basis. If we don't have it - chances
are we can get it with enough heads up
time. I
personally like
mixing Disco, Techno, Pop, Rock, Alternative Rock with a touch
of Heavy Metal and Punk when
appropriate. I also have a
collections for easy listening background, ballroom,
jazz, salsa, 50/60s
rock, and
Country/Western. I believe in working with the
customer / crowd to work up an appropriate playlist for
each event as each event
has its own needs and
requirements.
-DJ Dave: Although I'm a
bit green to the DJ scene - I have worked in production
&
theater. I've DJed for many Laser
Tag and several Dance
events. I
can be the man behind the curtain making
the magic
happen - or that outgoing guy that engages the crowd and puts a
smile on everyone's face. I
can be there just for
the sound and music, or I can help
with setting up the vibe for the
event.
-Decorations: If you are doing
an event for a holiday,
or a themed event - ask if we have
anything that may help out with
decorations.
We have totes full of decorations for many holidays...
a
little bit of extra decor can take a so-so event to an awesome
experience.
-Professionalism:
Unlike some performers,
you will not run into attitude or
unprofessional actions with
us. We
believe in communicating with our customers - showing
up
early - setting up and tear down of our equipment with our own tools - being
courteous
no matter how crazy a situation gets - and no changing our
fees at the last
moment. Dave will
always be dressed and possibly even
costumed
appropriately during the event.
-Preparation:
Although we can do impromptu services -
we prefer to
setup play lists, gear setup, and equipment well before we even
show up for the event. When
possible we like to show up
in advance and check out the
area were we will be setting up.
This
allows us to determine which sound & lighting equipment to bring for
the event and have a layout ready - this ensures a quicker
setup. It also allows us to check out
that the area has the
power requirements
met. We like to avoid having
events were the circuit breaker needs to be
reset.
Other
services:
Unlike other services that
only offer DJ
services for dance floors - we offer other
media
services. If you just
need a PA sound system for
an event, or some special
lighting/decor - give us a
call.
We also have a projector that can allow you to
throw a PC
presentation up on the wall. We have both corded as well
as wireless mics available.
If you have some kind
of presentation that you need help
with - put in a reservation.
